Learning and development includes a variety of interventions including leadership and management training, mentoring, coaching and the development of high performing talent. Investing in the right sort of training and development, aligned to an organisation’s strategy, is vital to future success. We carry out training needs analyses and help clients create learning and development plans that meet their exact need. We also provide management and leadership development programmes and a wide range of HR related training for those with people responsibilities.
Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
We design bespoke training needs questionnaires appropriate to individual organisations, and we assist organisations to incorporate the results of analysis into performance development processes. This ensures that any learning and development plans that are put in place are relevant to the needs of staff and are in line with the wider strategy of the organisation.
Design and Delivery of Training
We deliver a broad range of training to all levels of staff, up to and including senior management. This includes developing senior leaders, enhancing the skills of middle or junior management and increasing the knowledge of those responsible for HR within the organisation.

Coaching and Mentoring
We regularly carry out one to one coaching with staff at all levels. This can be part of a wider senior development plan, where there is perhaps a need to develop specific skills to transition to a new role, or where there is a perceived performance gap. By its nature coaching is best carried out based on the analysis of an individual need and our consultants are practiced in this type of analysis. We also train client managers on coaching techniques to enhance their own skills as coaches, in order that they can use these to develop their own staff teams.
Management and Business Skills
Headstogether is an accredited Institute of Leadership and Development (ILM) centre. This means that we are certified to deliver a range of management and business skills training to staff from junior managers in their first line management roles, right up to senior managers with responsibility for large or multi-disciplinary teams.
Leadership and Development
Being an effective leader requires a different set of skills, over and above technical knowledge, and over and above the skills needed for effective line management. We assist clients who are planning for succession within their organisations and need to identify and develop future leaders. We help clients to build upon the leadership skills of their existing teams and design bespoke development programmes that facilitate proactive succession planning.
